I’m having a spyware / adware nightmare. I’m ready to PAY for the BEST software to fix this? What is the BEST?

I’ve tried all the popular FREE spyware software — Yahoo! Anti-Spy, Ad Aware, Microsoft Windows Defender, and more. None of these are getting rid of the spyware and adware that has taken over my computer — launching pop-ups, slowing (or stopping completely) peformance, and who knows what other damaging activities. Please advise on which spyware / adware REMOVAL and proactive security software tool is rated the BEST… and worthy of my payment (i.e. $20 -$40). I am a relative power PC user, but I have never been hit this hard by spyware / adware and now need to turn to the Yahoo! community for help. Thank you very much in advance for your help!
