What Is Adware Rogue Suspect
This is what’s INFECTING me….?
I ran AVG anti spyware and I see these files infected
Adware.generic
Adware. Rogue suspect
Trackingcookie.Googleadservices
Trackingcookie.Adbrite…..
….and so on.
Is there a way I can just fight off these things manually by deleting some files from my drives, or is this a problem that internet security of some sort would have to fix?
I’m too broke to be buying anything. What would you guys do?
Welcome to malware world. Adware and spyware and others like viruses and trojans can infect the computer by simply visiting a malicious content website (infections intentionally or not embedded in the website to infect – malicious content website). These are generally called “drive-by’s”.
Ah, yes – paid subscription antispyware activates real time protection and is what will automatically block almost all of this. They have active shields which is like having a firewall against all catagory adware and spyware. Free antispyware does not block anything with the only exception in the world – the free Microsoft Windows Defender ….
Microsoft AntiSpyware is now Windows Defender [working-freeware from Microsoft] http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx
Windows Defender is a free program that helps protect your computer against pop-ups, slow performance, and security threats caused by spyware and other unwanted software. It features Real-Time Protection, a monitoring system that recommends actions against spyware when it’s detected, and a new streamlined interface that minimizes interruptions and helps you stay productive.
ACTIVE SHIELDS
Take a look at the following snapshot to see what protection you get from paid subscription antispyware:

When purchasing antispyware software – make sure everything you see there is included features in your choice, or otherwise you are obviously getting ripped off. Trend Micro Antispyware also has these same protections and a little more – as if that could be even possible.
Get oriented with antispyware and scan results. Look at the items and there infection information. Look at the names of the files. Click the “More Information” buttons to discover the company name of the maker of the item. This all helps you to make the decision to either to delete the item as a known threat or to Quarantine it with the ability to Restore it later if it was a mistake and suddenly one of your softwares are not working (rare).
No this is not going away. It is just getting worst. Since year 2001 I personally have witnessed threats becoming approxiamately 4 to 5 thousand percent worst in amount and nature and is why I launched my help groups and website http://www.BlueCollarPC.Net

If you give up – you’re dead. Look up malware botnets or zombie networks…. you will absolutely loose control of your pc and could end up with fines or imprisonment for transmitting malware illegally this way – or your ISP may shut you down when your machine becomes part of a malware botnet attempting to send hundreds and thousands of UCE (Unsolicited Commercial Email) commonlu known as spam.
Actually with free antispyware – there needs to be two daily scans, one before computing and one after – and everything inbetween has been transmitted to cybercriminals – so what was the point ???? Get the money out and get protected.

Adware by Elmo, Timoteus [Paperback] $78.07 Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Adware, or advertisingsupported software, is any software package which automatically plays, displays, or downloads advertisements to a computer. These advertisements can be in the form of a popup. The object of the Adware is to generate revenue for its author. Adware, by itself, is harmless; however, some adware may come with integrated spyware such as keyloggers and other privacyinvasive software. Advertising functions are integrated into or bundled with the software, which is often designed to note what Internet sites the user visits and to present advertising pertinent to the types of goods or services featured there. Adware is usually seen by the developer as a way to recover development costs, and in some cases it may allow the software to be provided to the user free of charge or at a reduced price. The income derived from presenting advertisements to the user may allow or motivate the developer to continue to develop, maintain and upgrade the software product. Conversely, the advertisements may be seen by the user as interruptions or annoyances, or as distractions from the task at hand. Author: Elmo, Timoteus Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 100 Publication Date: 2011/08/10 Language: English Dimensions: 9.02 x 5.98 x 0.24 inches |
