Trojan Horse Sheur
Will reinstalling Windows XP get rid of any viruses (particularly a trojan horse virus)?
I have run Ad-Aware, Spybot, and AVG. AVG claims to have healed the file, however, everytime I restart my computer, I still get a message of a threat detection named Trojan Horse Sheur.AEZL. The exact path is as follows:
C:Windowssystem32nsysrunex.exe with nsysrunex.exe as the file name.
Please help me with this, as it is driving me buggy, and I want to get this virus removed once and for all!
AVG has healed it, and also I have put this TH into the vault. Why is it still popping up? I have also tried unclicking system restore, starting up in safe mode and running all anti-virus programs. Still no help.
I am not sure which of these answers really worked for me. However, I noticed that I am no longer getting a warning about the virus. Somehow, someway I got rid of it. Thank you all so much for your help! I am putting the answers up to a vote! Good luck, and once again thank you!
yep, reinstalling windows will wipe your hard drive clean taking viruses and trojans away (unfortunately, it will also delete your data).
just make sure you have backed up your files, you have the reinstall CDs (including drives for your system), and disconnect all devices except keyboard, mouse and monitor before doing the reinstall.
good luck.
