Question about security issues in installing Windows XP on a mac?

One of the things I love about macs is their security. I want to run some PC only software, though, so I am considering installing Windows XP. My question is, if my windows system becomes infected with a virus, spyware, adware, trojan horse or something, does it have any effect on my OS X files and applications?

Actually no because windows and mac osx use different kernels, and their coding is totally different, so not many, or no, xp virus should work in osx

Mac OS is the trademarked name for a series of graphical user interfacebased operating systems developed by Apple Inc. (formerly Apple Computer, Inc.) for their Macintosh line of computer systems. It was a trimmeddown version of the operating system underpinning Apples earlier Lisa product. Apple deliberately downplayed the existence of the operating system in the early years of the Macintosh to help make the machine appear more userfriendly and to distance it from other operating systems such as MSDOS, which was more arcane and technically challenging Author: Miller, Frederic P./ Vandome, Agnes F./ McBrewster, John Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 196 Publication Date: 2009/11/24 Language: English Dimensions: 5.98 x 9.01 x 0.44 inches
