Uber Trojan Horse Problem…HELP!!!?

Our computer is infected with the mother of all Trojans…..the file is stored in the System32 Log Files folder…..the name of the file is WUDFTrace.etl. It’s a baddy…..everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING on our computer is locked except for Internet Explorer….Even our drives don’t work….Can’t access the Firewall….Java is disabled, so online AV tools can’t download, Windows installer is shot……I need help!!!
Tried using Safe Mode…same exact issues….no change whatsoever. Can’t run OS disk because no drives are responsive.
Sorry, I should have specified we use Win XP, and AVG didn’t even pick up on the virus…I found it myself.

okay,restart your PC and start form safe mode by pressing f8 or f11(i don’t remember which one) and you will see a boot selection screen. Choose safe mode and try to start your anti virus.

,the best way to end this is to start fresh. If you have a windows xp, vista installation disk(not upgrade) or a recovery disk for your computer you may use that. If you don’t have any you can order some recovery disk from the manufacturers website,or you can order an ubuntu CD from ubuntu.com for free if you have a separate PC with Internet. Also you may use an anti-virus recovery disk.DO NOT BACKUP YOUR FILES AS YOU MIGHT ALSO BACKUP THE VIRUS.unless its REALLY important.

1)put your disk in the drive and boot from CD.

ubuntu:use as a live CD and create a fresh install of ubuntu,once you do all the viruses will be gone,but you will be stuck with ubuntu until you make a fresh install onother OS. Its better than nothing.

recovery CD: boot from CD and follow the instructions to bring your PC to original factory condition.

xp/vista CD: boot from CD and delete all the partitions of your CD drive. Create a brand new partion and reinstall windows.

Hope this solves your problem. Remember to always use a super quality security suite. If your using Norton or mcaffee,these are very poor anti viruses. I highly recommend bit defender. Remember to always have the newest updates react immediately if there’s something wrong with your anti virus. Alo never download files from unknown websties and always scan the files you download with your antivirus before you click on them as trojans only activate if they are clicked on.
