Slow Computer Speed
How To Manually Optimize Computer Speed For Windows 7 – Simplest Ways To Accomplish It!
Have you ever wondered how to manually optimize computer speed for Windows 7 but had no idea what should do? Simply follow the steps below, then you will see an increase on your Windows 7 running speed.
1. Clean up the system. A bloated system will make the computer run desperately slowly. To optimize its computer speed, first do remember to get rid of some unused stuffs: 1) Uninstall useless programs from Add/Remove Programs. 2) Get rid of useless system junk files with Windows built-in Disk Cleanup utility..
2. Boost boot speed.
1) Optimize startup items. Programs which automatically run with system will make computer run slowly because of insufficient system resource. Just go to Start-> Run-> type “msconfig” and press “Enter”-> go to “Startup” tab and uncheck the unneeded startup items.
2) Defragmet your hard drive. A fragmented hard drive will make the computer run sluggishly by lengthening the file accessing time. So a disk defragmentation at lease once a week is needed.
2) Optimize Windows 7 boot speed. Go to “Start” -> type ‘msconfig’ in the search box and press “Enter” -> select “Boot” and then “Timeout” tab. Then click on “Advanced Options” to set the “Number of processors” according to your own computer configuration. After the reboot, you will see the computer perform faster at startup.
3. Optimize Windows 7 shutdown speed. Go to “Start “again and type “Regedit” and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control, double click on “waittokillservicetimeout” and change it from 12000 to 3000 or less. This reduces the shut down time.
4. Turn off some unnecessary visual effects.
The visual effects within Windows 7 are indeed beautiful, but please note that this is always at the expense of Slow Computer speed. If you want to optimize Windows 7 running speed, it is a good idea to cancel some useless visual effects. This will faster windows conversion speed and then optimize computer speed.
Normally, with the above changes, you will see an optimization on your computer speed. But if that fails, it is recommended that you should run a powerful registry optimizer to free scan and then fix your Windows registry.
With a clean and compact registry, you can easily optimize Windows 7 computer speed.

Slow Movement $74.88 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Slow Movement began with a protest against the opening of a McDonalds restaurant in Piazza di Spagna, Rome that sparked the creation of the Slow Food organization. Over time, this developed into a subculture in other areas, such as Slow Travel, Slow Shopping, and Slow Design. Geir Berthelsen and his creation of The World Institute of Slowness presented a vision in 1999 for an entire Slow Planet and a need to teach the world the way of Slow. Professor Guttorm Flistad summarizes the philosophy, stating: The only thing for certain is that everything changes. The rate of change increases. If you want to hang on you better speed up. That is the message of today. It could however be useful to remind everyone that our basic needs never change. The need to be seen and appreciated It is the need to belong. The need for nearness and care, and for a little love This is given only through slowness in human relations. In order to master changes, we have to recover slowness, reflection and togetherness. There we will find real renewal. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Timpledon, Miriam T./ Marseken, Susan F. Slow Light (Hardcover) $51.46 Slow Light is a popular treatment of today`s astonishing breakthroughs in the science of light. Even though we don`t understand light`s quantum mysteries, we can slow it to a stop and speed it up beyond its Einsteinian speed limit, 186,000 miles/sec; use it for quantum telecommunications; teleport it; manipulate it to create invisibility; and perhaps generate hydrogen fusion power with it. All this is lucidly presented for non-scientists who wonder about teleportation, Harry Potter invisibility cloaks, and other fantastic outcomes. Slow Light shows how the real science and the fantasy inspire each other, and projects light`s incredible future. |

Relief Mapping (Computer Graphics) $66.91 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles In computer graphics, relief mapping is an alternative texture mapping technique to parallax mapping that is much more accurate, and can support selfshadowing and normal mapping. It can be quite simply described as a shortdistance raytrace done on a pixel shader; various techniques can be implemented to speed up the raytrace by taking variable step sizes. Relief texture mapping supports the representation of 3D surface detail, producing selfocclusion, selfshadowing, viewmotion parallax, and silhouettes. This technique produces correct views of 3D surfaces and scenes by augmenting textures with per texel depth. It is not yet common in video games, as it is a rather slow technique due to the need for a large amount of perpixel processing. Crysis, Oblivion, and Unreal Tournament 3 have a similar feature called Parallax mapping. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Timpledon, Miriam T./ Marseken, Susan F.
