Slow Computer Internet Connection

Does remote desktop help for web surfing on a slow local connection but fast internet on remote computer?

I have slow local internet connection (<1Mbs) but i can setup a remote computer with faster internet connection (>7.2Mbs). Will web surfing be (significantly) faster if i set up remote desktop connection so that the slow local connection only needs to show the graphics of the remote computer, while the remote computer actually accesses the internet to fetch the web pages that i surf? Thanks.

not a chance, you are still limited by the slow connection receiving the information.
