How do I remove xp antispyware 2011 from my laptop?
I can’t use anything on my laptop. Nothing will open. I really need to get rid of this virus ASAP because there a lot of assignments on this laptop that I still need. Please help!
Start your laptop off safe mode and download malwarebytes. Scan and delete.
If that doesn’t work your second best move is to reformat. This will wipe everything off your hard drive and ensure nothing is left, including the virus. Before you do, I would suggest you back up your files first. You can do so with a device known as an IDE/SATA to USB Adapter (google “BT-300 topmicrousa”). This device allows you to access files on the hard drive without logging in through the operating system which houses the virus. It can transfer files at speeds around 480mbps which is insanely fast.
I use this device all the time to transfer files, back up files, and etc.
Once you are done backing up your files, reformat the hard drive, then recopy them.
