Many computer users have the Windows XP operating system on their computers. It has in fact been much more popular than its successor Windows Vista. Windows XP is a great operating system whether you have XP Home or the Professional edition. It, along with all other previous windows operating systems, has a problem however. Removal of any of these essential files will cause serious problems. Your computer might cease to function completely or programs may not run. The modest cost of good registry repair software is well worthwhile to avoid the risk of disabling your computer. A quality registry repair tool will clean the registry easily and safely.

All the top registry cleaners will provide a free registry scan, and then show you a list of the problems which it has located. You can  look at this report, then make your decision whether or not to use the utility to fix registry problems, and get the computer back to full speed. We found that all of the registry repair tools which we tested would do an acceptable job of cleaning the registry. However some were clearly better in performance and in ease of use. One in particular stood out as best and was able to find and remove up to 50% more errors than some others.

Our recommendation would be that you should obtain a free registry scan to determine if you do actually have registry problems. You can then take a look at the results of this and consider what you should do. You can repair the registry by using the repair application if you wish. Leaving it as is should not be your decision as it will only get worse as time passes.
