Norton Antispyware Free Download
PLEASE HELP!!!!! Everytime I open Internet Explorer, I recieve the following message;?
Attention, “Name”! Some dangerous viruses detected in your system. Microsoft Windows XP files corrupted. this may lead to the destruction of important files in C:WINDOWS. Download protection software now!

I believe that I may have downloaded some virus when I installed a suposed “ActiveX control” – so that I could view a video.
If anyone has any solution, please post it. I use Norton 360, but it failed to detect this through the “Comprehensive Scan”…all it finds is a tracking cookie. Also, I have tried system restore, but it does not work.
Also, I am trying to re-install XP.
When I complete the re-installation, I will post results.

My sister had the same problem. I had her download Avant virus software, which is free and spybot, also free and scan and remove errors several times. She said it finally worked. If not you can try HiJack This, but you have to be careful what you delete with this program. Hope this helps. These companies should be fined thousands everytime they invade someones computer like this.
