uninstalling McAfee even if its not on the control panel?

I had asked how to uninstall McAfee Anti-Virus in an earlier question, however, when I went to the control panel to try and uninstall McAfee, the only McAfee it had on the control panel was the “McAfee Uninstall”. Is this the program to actually uninstall McAfee from my computer. I probably shouldn’t remove this particular program? Can anyone help with this?
