Having problems with Windows Vista Home Basic?
Vista will not let me change my background, personalization settings, or user accounts. I am the only user and administrator. If I try to use certain aspects of the control panel, it opens the window, flashes and then closes. What happens with user settings and customization. It will not work. I have Windows Live active and it shows no spyware / adware.
Try to restore the windows go to Start> Programs>>> All Programs> System Tools> Restore >> Fast>> choose a computer valid restore>> point to apply>> ok if this fails, I suggest that you format and reinstall the operating system
