Error Messages In Excel
how can i open a password protected and encrypted excel file that shows err.mesg ?
my excel file was in E drive.it was password protected and encrypted. i copy it in D drive then i format E drive.now when i open this file in D drive, i get error message:”excel cannot access this file. it may be a read only or encrypted.”how can i open this file? please help me.
If you are using the file/open option and then selecting the file from the “remembered” list, the “remembered” location is still looking for the file on your E:/ drive and will continue to look for it there until you successfully open it at its new location on your D:/ drive.
Try this:
1) Open Excel
2) Click File
3) Click Open
4) instead of clicking the file from the “remembered” list, physically locate the file on your D:/ drive
If you are still unable to open the file and you are sure of your password, then the file probably was damaged when you copied it from E:/ to D:/ — if this is the case, then you will probably never be able to open the file again.

Error Message $116.3 Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. An error message is information displayed when an unexpected condition occurs, usually on a computer or other device. On modern operating systems with graphical user interfaces, error messages are often displayed using dialog boxes. Error messages are used when user intervention is required, to indicate that a desired operation has failed, or to relay important warnings (such as warning a computer user that they are almost out of hard disk space). Error messages are seen widely throughout computing, and are part of every operating system or computer hardware device. Proper design of error messages is an important topic in usability and other fields of humancomputer interaction. Forward Error Correction $70.1 In telecommunication and information theory, forward error correction (FEe is a system of error control for data transmission, whereby the sender adds redundant data to its messages, also known as an errorcorrection code. This allows the receiver to detect and correct errors (within some bound) without the need to ask the sender for additional data. The advantages of forward error correction are that a backchannel is not required and retransmission of data can often be avoided (at the cost of higher bandwidth requirements, on average). FEC is therefore applied in situations where retransmissions are relatively costly or impossible. In particular, FEC information is usually added to most mass storage devices to protect against damage to the stored data. FEC devices are often located close to the receiver of an analog signal, in the first stage of digital processing after a signal has been received. That is, FEC circuits are often an integral part of the analogtodigital conversion process, also involving digital modulation and demodulation, or line coding and decoding. Error Coding for Engineers $380.76 Error Coding for Engineers provides a useful tool for practicing engineers, students, and researchers, focusing on the applied rather than the theoretical. It describes the processes involved in coding messages in such a way that, if errors occur during transmission or storage, they are detected and, if necessary, corrected. Very little knowledge beyond a basic understanding of binary manipulation and Boolean algebra is assumed, making the subject accessible to a broad readership including nonspecialists. The approach is tutorial: numerous examples, illustrations, and tables are included, along with over 30 pages of handson exercises and solutions.Error coding is essential in many modern engineering applications. Engineers involved in communications design, DSPbased applications, IC design, protocol design, storage solutions, and memory product design are among those who will find the book to be a valuable reference. Error Coding for Engineers is also suitable as a text for basic and advanced university courses in communications and engineering. Author: Houghton, A./ Houghton, Andy/ Houghton, A.
