Error Message Application Not Found
how can i get rid of error message like this: run time error 3706, wen i run my vb application?
hello 8>i need help please. i developed a vb6 application for our school but it doesn’t work properly. every time i open it it generates an error message like this: “run time error 3706, provider cannot be found.it may not be properly installed”. please…. i uses vb 6. please
You haven’t given us a lot of detail, so the best I can do is guess… Is the error occuring when you call the Open method of an ADODB.Connection object? If so, software to support the DBMS specified in the Provider section of your connection string, has not been installed on the target system.
Support for some providers is contained in the MDAC redistributable package, available for free on the Microsoft site. Unfortunately, support for MS Jet (MS Access’ native DBMS) is no longer included in MDAC.
Personally, I don’t do Jet anymore, the best advice I can offer you is to dump Jet now, like the trash that it is, and convert your code to use SQL Express, it’s equally free it’s substantially more robust, and if your app ever needs the power of full-blown SQL Server, your code will not need any changes. (In other words, I’ve heard it’s possible to get Jet support installed, but exactly how, I neither know nor care.)

The Message $3.95 The ancient hymns, poems, and prayers found in the Psalms teach us how to communicate with God. As Eugene Peterson writes, this book "gives us a language adequate for responding to the God who speaks to us." Translated directly from the original Hebrew, the Psalms come alive in the heart-stirring words of The Message. |

Error Control Coding: From Theory to Practice $62.98 Error-controlled coding techniques are used to detect and/or correct errors that occur in the message transmission in a digital communications system. Wireless personal channels used by mobile communications systems and storage systems for digital multimedia data all require the implementation of error control coding methods. Demonstrating the role of coding in communication and data storage system design, this text illustrates the correct use of codes and the selection of the right code parameters. Relevant decoding techniques and their implementation are discussed in detail. Providing communication systems engineers and students with guidance in the application of error-control coding, this book emphasizes the fundamental concepts of coding theory while minimising the use of mathematical tools. * Reader-friendly approach ti coding in communication systems providing examples of encoding and decoding, information theory and criteria for code selection * Thorogh descriptions of relevant application, including telephony on satellite links, GSM, UMTS and multimedia standards, CD, DVD and MPEG * Provides coverage of the fundamentals of coding and the applications of codes to the design of real error control systems * End of chapter problems to test and develop understanding |

Spatial Error Analysis: A Unified Application-Oriented Treatment $152.5 "SPATIAL ERROR ANALYSIS is an all-in-one sourcebook on error measurements in one-, two-, and three-dimensional spaces. This book features exhaustive, systematic coverage of error measurement relationships, techniques, and solutions used to solve general, correlated cases. It is packed with 62 figures and 24 tables. MATLAB-based M-files* for practical applications created especially for this volume are available on the Web at ftp: //ftp.mathworks.com/pub/books/hsu. Solutions to two- and three-dimensional problems are presented without relying on equal standard deviations from each channel. They also make no assumption that the random variables of interest are independent or uncorrelated. * MATLAB (developed by MathWorks, Inc.) must be purchased separately." Errears and Erroriboose: Joyce and Error. $49.23 Joyce was fascinated by error throughout his writing career, from the malapropisms of characters in "Dubliners," through to misquotations and misappropriations in "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man "and the errors and gaffes committed by Leopold Bloom in "Ulysses." This interest culminates in the ceaseless perversions of language, perspective and fact in "Finnegans Wake." Error is not, however, something that Joyce only writes about: it happens to him and his texts in the form of misprints and inadvertent factual errors, through the interventions of others and through lapses in Joyce’s own practice. Indeed, part of the richness of this topic for those who are interested in Joyce’s writing is the difficult process of disentangling deliberate features of the text from unintended slippages."Errears and Erroriboose "is the first major collection of essays to address the topic of Joyce and error. It brings together eight essays in order to provide readers with an understanding of the diverse ways in which error features in Joyce’s writings. A variety of different critical perspectives and approaches to the topic can be found here and the volume is of interest to students of Joyce’s work at all levels. These include archival and genetic study of the role of error in the composition of Joyce’s works; consideration of the psychological implications of error; work on the material and historical consequences of error; and close readings of the verbal effects of errors and mistakes. |
