Bho Adware
Ad-Aware Detection?
Not sure if the actual trojan has been removed. Well yesterday I decided to reformat my PC just to clean out some stuff since I haven’t did it in a long while. As I was re-installing the programs I had before, my Anti-Virus kept on alerting me on change of registries, so I decided to run a virus scan with McAfee and ad-aware scan using Ad-Aware. Well my virus scan detected 5 items which were cookies and my Ad-Aware detected 3, one was Adware.BHO(generic), Dialer, and other Win32.Trojan.Startpage O.o I was like, “What the heck?!” So I removed it, but now I am not sure if it’s still in my PC and not sure how dangerous the level for those 3 are, can anyone help me?
I am just confused how so fast I caught those things since my PC was newly reformatted.
I had simpler thing, replaced my old 80GB hard drive with a new brand 250GB one and as soon as I installed my anti-virus and connected to the net it found things, it might be finding things within the software you reinstalled.
