Anti-Virus for Windows XP SP1?

My uncle recently gave my brother his old computer to use. I installed the internet and everything for him, and everything is working and connected to the internet, but all we’re concerned about is the antivirus. The online protection package that SBC Yahoo! DSL provides cannot be installed on this computer because it requires at least 518MB of physical RAM, and this old Windows XP SP1 only has 256MB.

First, make sure that you have an up to date antivirus program (If you don’t, install Avira AntiVir Personal. If you have one that has expired, uninstall it with RevoUninstaller and then install Avira AntiVir Personal). I would also recommend that you use ThreatFire, Spyware Doctor Starter Edition, and Spybot. Once they are installed, disable System Restore and do full scans with all of them.
