Antispyware Cell Phones
On the newer cell phones that have internet access, do you need an antivirus/antispyware and firewall?
If not, then how do they keep from getting infected?
I raise this question because people do a lo of finacial transactions on their phones, like bill pay etc
First off, can you even buy antivirus for phones?
So about the virus. I don’t think anyone is even going to try to write a virus for any phone. Every phone uses a different OS, and they are about a small percentage of the market. Viruses are NOT universal between platforms, and the reason why Windows gets more viruses than macs is because no one really writes viruses for macs. If you put that to a cell phone prospective, why would anyone want to waste their time writing a virus for every single phone out there?
EDIT: Ed G just revealed that there is a antivirus for smart phones.
