My step dads computer keeps having “Microsoft security suit” pop up on his computer.?

I think this is a virus. I recently had “Windows anti virus pro” attach my computer, and thanks to the Answers Community, the issue has been resolved and my computer is back on par! Is this similar to what was on my computer? I tryed to take care of his virus the same way I got rid of mine, but it doesn’t seem to work the same. He has McAfee (sp?) as an anti virus and the virus, rough, whatever it may be, basically turned his anti virus off. Similar to Windows Anti virus Pro, this has disabled anything that will allow you to fix your computer. For example system restore will work with his computer however there are no restore points. Can any one help with this problem?

Malwarebytes, plain and simple.

Go here:

Install application.

Restart in safe mode with networking.

Run and update Malwarebytes.

Run a full scan and remove everything it recommends.

That should fix ya.
