any one else had to deal with a rare side affect to kitten vaccine?

my brothers 9week old kitten Boss cat had his first vaccine on monday, yesterday he became lame on his back leg and slept a lot! we took him back to the vets who said kittens can get a virus in the joints. they gave him and anti inflammatory and by the time he got home he was running around like the little mad cat he usually is.

Yes! When my cat was a kitten I took him to get his shots. When I got home, all he did was sleep for the rest of the day and then that night he came to me crying like he was in pain and limping. I started freaking out and crying because I thought he was dying from the vaccines. When he got to me he just fell over like his leg was dead. After a couple days, however, his leg was better, and he was his crazy normal self. It is normal for kittens to get sick from vaccines, though all kittens to do not get sick from them and different cats take longer to bounce back than others do. I could be wrongs but this is just from my own personal experience. I hope this helps!
