why some people thinks that superantispyware is a malware or a spy ??

I have downloaded the program before I run it I have scan it with a legally purchased and updated anti-virus ( Kaspersky 7 ) when i ran the superantispyware it removed some tracking cookies from my computer , then i unistall it , now I’m really scared becuase i read some reviews about the program is just a fake software , or its just simply a spyware , just please give me a clear answer what is the truth about superantispyware and if it is a spyware what is the prof ? please help me before I panic and format my PC
