Looking for a free anti-virus/anti-spyware program for mac?

I get pop ups that appear to be from firefox. When I looked at Firefox’s website FAQ, it stated that the pop up is likely a piece of malware, which needs to be taken out with an anti-virus/anti-spyware program. The pop up is for an update 3.5.7, which I believe is nonexistent. What makes looking for this free program tougher is that I still have the Tiger operating system. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to upgrade to Snow Leopard. So, this free anti-virus/anti spyware needs to be compatible with the Tiger operating system.
