Adware Norton
Will remove my Norton 360 virus adware if I renew my subscription?
I had an adware virus on my laptop for a few weeks, it not cause problems but it is highly annoying with all the penis enlargement ads popping up everywhere. I used to have Norton 360 but it expired a few months ago. I tried different anti virus free downloads, but it is customary to remove the problem or that are blocked from running (possibly by the virus itself?). If I renew my subscription Norton 360 is it likely to be able to remove the virus from my machine? Thank you
I suggest running a scan with Malwarebytes. malwarebytes you can get here, this is a direct download link so that you should have no trouble to get it. ↓ click on this link then select Run. http://www.malwarebytes.org/affiliates/2-spyware/mbam-setup.exe install it on your desktop, update it and run a full scan and remove anything it finds. some viruses will try to disable it If Malwarebytes does not start, then go to the folder it is in and rename the file mbam to XXX and then double-click the file you just rename the start. after using Malwarebytes and then do the scan line. to ensure that you have nothing else hiding. http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html preferably in Safe Mode with Networking. then get avast to protect full time, you can not get a better anti-virus software. It has many features, you have to pay for other systems. http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.ht … remember sign up or you did for 60 days by registering, you will get a license for a full year. just re-register at the end of the year another license for one year. if you feel would be even safer with a firewall then also try this one is also free and has not conflict with avast http://www.pctools.com/firewall/ ☺

Adware by Elmo, Timoteus [Paperback] $78.07 Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Adware, or advertisingsupported software, is any software package which automatically plays, displays, or downloads advertisements to a computer. These advertisements can be in the form of a popup. The object of the Adware is to generate revenue for its author. Adware, by itself, is harmless; however, some adware may come with integrated spyware such as keyloggers and other privacyinvasive software. Advertising functions are integrated into or bundled with the software, which is often designed to note what Internet sites the user visits and to present advertising pertinent to the types of goods or services featured there. Adware is usually seen by the developer as a way to recover development costs, and in some cases it may allow the software to be provided to the user free of charge or at a reduced price. The income derived from presenting advertisements to the user may allow or motivate the developer to continue to develop, maintain and upgrade the software product. Conversely, the advertisements may be seen by the user as interruptions or annoyances, or as distractions from the task at hand. Author: Elmo, Timoteus Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 100 Publication Date: 2011/08/10 Language: English Dimensions: 9.02 x 5.98 x 0.24 inches |
