Wow my ears are ringing all your cries). I know it's frustrating, but you're not alone so many people Yahoo write about how they get rid of a rogue security program. These guidelines have helped many people. I hope they help you. I know it's long but please read it all. ——————- How do I get rid of this rogue security program? Antivirus programs such as Personal, Anivirus System Pro, XP Protector Deluxe, WinBlueSoft, Antivirus 2009 Pro, AntivirusBEST, and many more are in fact rogue (false and malicious) security programs and if you run them will infect your computer even more. Read here to learn more about them: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogue_software. Also read this guide spyware removal: http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/spyware-removal-guide.htm. First backup your files and documents important in case something goes wrong during the withdrawal process. You will need to scan your backups before putting them back later on your computer. For the same reason to create a system restore point. Yes, this restoration could be infected, but it is better to have it and then return to not be able to undo things if cleaning affects your computer. You can always scan again. Once the computer is clean and functioning correctly, we will get rid of the potentially bad restore points. Pop-ups you get from this type of program is a sign that your computer is already infected. There are literally hundreds of these rogue programs that are plaguing so many people. The free program, no need to purchase the Pro, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM), is very good to detect and remove rogue security programs. Now http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php some of these rogue programs are very delicate and do it so that you can not run your security programs and will not let you download and install them. Here is a link that will explain how to get around this with MBAM and be successful download, install and run the program: http://www.myantispyware.com/2009/06/08/malwarebytes-wont-install-run-or-update-how-to-fix-it / Once you have successfully download, install and update MBAM days you can follow these instructions: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-personal-antivirus. Please note that these instructions are for PersonalAntivirus, one of the rogue programs, but the instructions are very similar to get rid of any rogue program. Also it would be a good idea after running the quick scan, and reboot to run a full system scan. I also saw that suggested to run MBAM in safe mode. You can also try this other free program called SUPERAntiSpyware, which can be found here: http://www.superantispyware.com/. Once your computer is clean and functioning normally just to be on the safe side turn off System Restore and wait 30 seconds, turn it back on and create a new restore point. In this way, it gets rid of something bad that could have got saved in a restore point and you have a clean restore point for use in the near future if necessary. Here is an excellent article to learn how to be safe on the Internet, http://surfthenetsafely.com/index.html. It covers everything from viruses, spyware and firewall in great detail. Links in what is not working properly are pointing to this site http://www.techsupportalert.com/pc/security-tools.html. This site has been reorganized to old links do not always work. I would really like to hear how these steps worked for you or how else you were able to get rid of the program security thugs. Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Adware, or advertisingsupported software, is any software package which automatically plays, displays, or downloads advertisements to a computer. These advertisements can be in the form of a popup. The object of the Adware is to generate revenue for its author. Adware, by itself, is harmless; however, some adware may come with integrated spyware such as keyloggers and other privacyinvasive software. Advertising functions are integrated into or bundled with the software, which is often designed to note what Internet sites the user visits and to present advertising pertinent to the types of goods or services featured there. Adware is usually seen by the developer as a way to recover development costs, and in some cases it may allow the software to be provided to the user free of charge or at a reduced price. The income derived from presenting advertisements to the user may allow or motivate the developer to continue to develop, maintain and upgrade the software product. Conversely, the advertisements may be seen by the user as interruptions or annoyances, or as distractions from the task at hand.
